WEEK 8!!! We can not believe this week is over. It snuck up on us so easily! This last week was a BLAST! We thanked God for the blue skies all week and the tamed water with perfect waves! What an amazing week with games on the sand, and constant surfing! Everyday campers and instructors greeted each other with smiles! WEEK 7 REVIEW!! This week was amazing. Waves were beautiful and the weather held up on Friday! Campers came in smiling everyday ready to get into the water! They pushed through the cold winds to continue to get as many waves as they could! Sharks 🦈 and minnows 🐟 was a hit! The kids loved having all the counselors as sharks in the last round! Group time is always the best time! Kids listened and absorbed Gods word this week! They couldn’t get enough of it, by asking as many questions as they could and continuing to talk about him! BEGINNER WEEK!! These kids blew us away the second we went in for our first surf sesh! Practicing pop ups during stretches worked immensely! These kids are already working their way to becoming shredders! They couldn’t wait to get back out there for another sesh! Group time on Thursday was presented outside of the bathrooms due to thunderstorms and rain. But that didn’t stop us from teaching the kids about the GREATER purpose! #fca #fcacamp #fcasurf #greater

WEEK 3 RECAP! Beautiful week with amazing campers! We celebrated July 4th with @dotspastryshop donuts! Campers were stoked through learning about THE FOUR. After learning about THE FOUR, campers received their very own bracelet with THE FOUR symbols on it. To remind them everyday that God loves us and what fun they had at camp! Wednesdays are wave selection days! We teach campers about the different types of waves they can surf, and what to do in situations when you want to get the same wave as someone! After learning more about waves, the campers did an awesome job at riding lefts and rights! #fca #fcasurfcamp #fcasurf #fourthofjuly

Next week FCA Skate camp kicks off another year and we would love to have you there this summer as an instructor/mentor. Camp is Monday-Friday, July 17-21 and July 24-28, from 6pm - 8pm. WEEK 7 REVIEW!!! Remember week 7?! We made the coolest surf obstacle course to warm up from some more cold water and it was RAD! We also had our weekly paddle race, lots of surfing, and the FOUR presentation on Friday. A couple of the days the water was so clear we caught some hermit crabs along with the waves! WEEK 6!!!! This week we had lots of cold water, but lots of great rides as well!! We surfed till we were numb! We also had a paddle out and went around the circle saying things we were thankful for. Get to Know Pete Davis! Pete came on staff as the FCA Area Representative serving the Surf & Skate communities of South Jersey. Pete grew up in Central Jersey surfing the local breaks and lives right outside Ocean City NJ with his wife, Lisa and their daughters, Chloe and Kassia. A graduate of Messiah College, Pete earned a degree in Education and maintained a successful teaching career in math, science, architectural design, and industrial technology at all levels of public education. Pete served as a FCA Huddle Coach for 10 years at Belhaven Middle School in Linwood, NJ and encouraged middle schoolers to utilize their gifts and talents to serve others for Christ. In July 2019, Pete and his family answered the call to serve as full-time missionaries with Rio Missions in Panama, where the ministry passion began with a surf and service missions trip. God’s leading back to the states during the summer of the pandemic expanded the already present connection with FCA Surf through multiple surf camp coaching experiences and revealed God’s non-linear path to share the Gospel. Pete's mission is to engage the local surf community by creating opportunities to reach surfers with the life-changing message of the Gospel. Pete’s vision is to equip surfers to live out their faith in and out of the water and empower them to do the same at their local surf spot, school, contest, or anywhere waves are found. Our trailer gets A LOT of attention during the summer which means it gets packed with sand and salt water. The boards also get lots of love in the water which means they needs more love at the end of our season. Now they are all ready for next season! 🌊💙 As surfers, it’s important to take care of our prized boards and even wetsuits. After your surf session, don’t forget to spray off your board of all salt water and to clean your suit. Keep it nice, and be able to enjoy it more! #fcasurf

Our FALL CHARGE meet up at 59th street was awesome!! The surf was up, the pizza was delicious, Chris Wilson sang some beautiful worship, and Pete Davis had a message for all ages about fear. He dove into Mark 4:35-41, when Jesus calms a storm. How can we PURSUE a life without fear? Here are three take aways! 1. Turn to Jesus! (Pray, know he is with you!) 2. Have peace! In the story Jesus tells his disciples, “peace! Be still!” Because he was with them. 3.
