Meet the team behind our ministry

Pete Davis

South Jersey Surf & Skate Representative & Camp Director

Pete’s passion for surf and making disciples for Christ fulfills the role of FCA Surf Area Representative. His mission is to engage the local surf community by creating opportunities to reach surfers with the life-changing message of the Gospel. Pete’s vision is to equip surfers to live out their faith in and out of the water and empower them to do the same at their local surf spot, school, contest, or anywhere waves are found.

Paul Aspenberg

Atlantic City Camp Director

Paul has a deep love for his local surf community, and a desire for those he comes in contact in the water to see the love of Christ in simple and creative ways. He enjoys hosting events with a huge bonfire, live music and a surf movie playing the background. Lately, Paul and his friends have been reaching out to students who don’t normally have access to water recreation. Sometimes, the best part of his day is holding the hand of a nervous student, and jumping over breakers until they feel comfortable to take the next step.

Josh Bova

FCA Surf - Monmouth, NJ

Josh Bova was born and raised at the beach. A life-long surfer and skateboarder, Josh has a passion to see those communities reached by the love of Jesus. Josh started as a volunteer with FCA Surf in Monmouth County in 2014 and has been on staff full-time since early 2018. When Josh isn’t surfing or skateboarding, he loves spending time with his wife Jana and taking their 5 sons fishing, bow-hunting, hiking, mountain biking, and camping.

Mary Garrett

FCA Surf & Skate South Jersey - Administrative Assistant & Camp Registrar

Mary's dedication to serving others to further the Gospel and support anyone and everyone in the field does not go unnoticed.  She not only serves as the Administrative Assistant for FCA Surf & Skate South Jersey, but also serves as the Administrative Assistant for all FCA staff in South Jersey as well as Camp Registrar for all 10 weeks of Surf & Skate.
